Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil
The adventure begins with a climb on the first day of riding. While not overly tough, it serves as a warm-up to test the pedals and ensure everything is in working order. As we reach the pass, a refreshing stop for mint tea and biscuits is a welcome break before transitioning to a delightful dirt road. This route winds through picturesque villages like Tacheddirt, Tamguist, and Amssakrou. The flowing dirt road offers a couple of hours of enjoyable riding before descending to a riverbed for a leisurely lunch. Afterward, the journey continues, taking us to Asni, and from there, we transfer to Imi’oughelad for the night’s stay.
Day 2: Azzaden Valley – Ouirgane
Following breakfast, our ride leads us to the stunning Ouirgane Valley in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. We pass through numerous Berber villages, witnessing the simplicity and unique way of life that contrasts with the Western world. The ride unfolds along varied terrain, providing a sensory overload of nature’s beauty. Gazing upon the remarkable Lake of Ouirgane and the breathtaking mountain vistas, we take a moment to soak it all in. After a well-deserved break, we descend on a mixed road to our overnight hotel, where relaxation and rest await.
Day 3: Amizmiz – Marrakech
After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to saddle up at 9 AM! The day’s journey kicks off with a technical 6 km uphill challenge, leading us from the lush green ridges of Ouirgane Valley to the arid, village-studded plains of Amizmiz Valley. Lunch is a riverside affair, allowing for some replenishment. The afternoon continues with riding through Berber villages, immersing us in the local culture. As the day winds down, we embark on transfers back to the vibrant city of Marrakech, where the journey comes to a close.
