Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Oukaimeden - A Mountainous Start

The adventure kicks off after breakfast as you leave Marrakech behind and venture into the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Crossing the Ourika valley, a favorite route for local road bikers, you’ll reach the villages of Adrar. The challenge of the day begins with an uphill ride to the Ski resort at an elevation of 2600 meters. The climb, lasting 2 to 3 hours, rewards you with panoramic views and a chance to capture the awe-inspiring landscape. Passing through charming Berber villages, the day concludes in Oukaimeden, where you’ll find rest for the night.

Day 2: Ourika – Asni - Scenic Contours

Short transfers take you from Oukaimeden to Imi n Lghar, your starting point for the day’s ride. You’ll steadily climb along the mountainside, gradually gaining altitude while taking in the impressive Atlas Mountains and Berber villages below. As you reach the Tizi n’Tadmamt at 1813 meters, the ride takes on a more relaxed pace, allowing you to enjoy the contours of the mountain hillsides and the stunning views stretching toward the Haouz Plains in the north. A thrilling downhill section from Sidi Fares leads you to Asni, where you’ll spend the night in a Riad.

Day 3: Asni – Ouirgane - Historical Heights

Embarking on one of the Atlas’ renowned climbs, you’ll head to the Tizi-n-Test pass. A 40-kilometer ascent takes you to Tinmel, a historic village known as the birthplace of the Berber Almohad Empire. With an ancient mosque that holds UNESCO heritage status, Tinmel’s significance in Moroccan history is palpable. Reaching the 2100-meter peak, you’ll take a moment to savor the view before descending back toward the Ouirgane valley. A return to your hotel marks the end of the day’s journey.

Day 4: Ouirgane – Kik Plateau – Marrakech - A Grand Finale

Your final day unfolds as you pedal to the Kik Plateau, an ultimate cycling challenge. Setting off after a hearty breakfast, you’ll ride towards the Moulay Brahim shrine, a revered Sufi saint’s resting place that draws pilgrims from across Morocco. Reaching the plateau’s summit, the snow-capped Toubkal peaks stand majestically in the background. As you traverse the terraces and villages, the grandeur of the landscape unfolds. The descent leads you to Takerkoust lake, where your cycling adventure concludes. After packing your bikes, a short transfer brings you to the vibrant city of Marrakech. Your Riad, nestled within the heart of the medina, awaits—just a short stroll from iconic attractions like Jemaa El Fena Square, the souks, and Bahia Palace.

In these four days, you’ll journey through the challenging mountain roads, experience Berber culture, and be rewarded with sweeping vistas of the Atlas Mountains.
