Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech

Welcome by a member of our team in Marrakech airport then transfer to the riad Riad in the medina.

Upon your arrival at Marrakech airport, you will receive a warm welcome from a dedicated member of our team, ensuring a smooth start to your adventure. From the airport, you’ll be seamlessly transferred to the heart of the medina, where your comfort awaits at the enchanting Riad. This traditional Moroccan dwelling offers a haven of tranquility amidst the bustling surroundings, allowing you to unwind and immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere of Marrakech’s vibrant medina. Your journey begins with a blend of hospitality and authenticity, setting the tone for the remarkable experiences that await you in this vibrant city.

Day 2: Marrakech – Imlil (1740m) – refuge Tazaghart (3000m)

Transfer from Marrakech in the morning to Imlil where we meet the guide mule team and guide start walk to the refuge via Tizi Mezzik Pass (2400m)& Tamsoult, arrive to refuge Tazaghart (3000m) in the afternoon where we will spend the first night.

Embarking on a new day, your journey kicks off with a morning transfer from Marrakech to the picturesque village of Imlil. Here, you’ll be introduced to your expert guide, the reliable mule team, and the exciting adventure that lies ahead. The trek begins as you set foot on the trail, embarking on a captivating walk towards the refuge. Your path leads you through the scenic Tizi Mezzik Pass at 2400 meters, offering panoramic views that inspire awe. As you traverse the rugged terrain, the beauty of Tamsoult unfolds before you, a testament to the natural splendor of the region. The afternoon sun guides your steps to the refuge Tazaghart, situated at an elevation of 3000 meters. Here, amidst the tranquility of the mountains, you’ll find respite and solace, spending your first night enveloped by the breathtaking landscapes that mark the beginning of your extraordinary journey.

Day 3: Tazaghart – Tadat Pass (3800m) - Toubkal Refuge (3207m)

After breakfast climb up to the Tadat Pass (3800m) we might need ropes and crampons but we are rewarded by spectacular views across to Toubkal (4167m). From the pass we descend 600m to the Toubkal refuge where we spend the night. A total of 6 to 7 hours.

Fueling up with a hearty breakfast, you embark on a challenging ascent after breakfast, making your way towards the lofty Tadat Pass at an impressive altitude of 3800 meters. The climb may require the use of ropes and crampons, a testament to the thrilling nature of the journey. However, the efforts are richly rewarded by the awe-inspiring panorama that unfolds before you, offering sweeping vistas that extend all the way to the majestic Toubkal, soaring at 4167 meters. From this vantage point, a descent of 600 meters leads you towards the Toubkal refuge, where you will spend the night. The rugged beauty of the surroundings, coupled with the camaraderie of fellow adventurers, sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. The day’s accomplishment, spanning 6 to 7 hours of trekking, reinforces your connection with the mountains and the profound sense of achievement that comes with conquering the heights.

Day 4: Toubkal refuge – Toubkal summit (4167m) - Toubkal refuge

This is a climb of 1000m to the summit of Toubkal – with a panoramic view across the Anti-Atlas in the south and the Marrakech plains to the north. From the summit we descend the 1000m back to the refuge – some fabulous skiing. A total of 5 – 6 hours.

Embarking on a monumental ascent, you’ll tackle a challenging climb that reaches a remarkable 1000 meters, leading you to the summit of Toubkal. The reward for your determination is nothing short of breathtaking: a panoramic vista that stretches across the enchanting Anti-Atlas in the south and the sprawling Marrakech plains to the north. From this pinnacle, the world seems to unfold at your feet, a testament to the beauty and diversity of Morocco’s landscapes. After savoring these unparalleled views, your descent begins, retracing the 1000-meter path back to the welcoming embrace of the refuge. This downward journey is not just a descent, but a chance to indulge in some fabulous skiing, a thrilling experience that completes the loop of adventure. The day’s journey spans a total of 5 to 6 hours, a testament to the resilience and dedication that define your mountain odyssey.

Day 5: Toubkal Refuge – Ouankrim (4083m)– Imlil

We start by climbing up in the direction of Ouanoukrim (4083m) in order to descend to Sidi Chamarouch (2318m) – an exhilarating, long descent. From here we complete our descent to Imlil where we stay the night in a Berber house (gite). A total of 6 hours.

Embracing a new day of adventure, your journey unfolds with a climb that points you towards the summit of Ouanoukrim, reaching an impressive altitude of 4083 meters. The climb is the precursor to an exhilarating and lengthy descent, a true test of your skills and endurance. The path leads you to the enchanting Sidi Chamarouch, situated at 2318 meters, where the spirit of the journey is palpable in the air. From this point, your descent continues, carrying you further down towards Imlil, where the day’s journey concludes. Nestled amidst the rustic charm of the Berber culture, you’ll find accommodation in a traditional Berber house, known as a “gite.” The transition from the heights of the mountains to the warmth of the Berber hospitality is a unique experience that adds depth to your adventure. The day’s expedition totals 6 hours, encompassing a range of terrains and emotions that remind you of the diverse beauty of the High Atlas.

Day 6: Imlil – Tizi n'Tamatert Pass (2200m) – Tachdirt (3400m) – Bouygnouane (3800m)

We set out from Imlil to cross the Tamatert Pass before dropping down to the Imenane valley, ready for the ascent of Bouygunouane From here we have splendid views before we descend 1400m to our gite in Tachdirt village where we spend the night.

Commencing your journey from Imlil, a new day unfolds as you embark on a quest to traverse the Tamatert Pass. The path ahead leads you to a captivating descent, guiding you into the embrace of the Imenane valley. With each step, the landscape shifts, unveiling new vistas that underscore the diversity of the region. Preparing for the ascent of Bouygunouane, the anticipation grows as you climb higher, eager to witness the splendid views that await at the summit. The culmination of your ascent marks the beginning of a breathtaking descent, a descent that spans 1400 meters and ushers you into the welcoming realm of the Tachdirt village. Here, amidst the rustic charm and authenticity of a Berber gite, you’ll find solace and camaraderie, as the day’s journey comes to a close. The varied experiences of the day, from the challenging climbs to the sweeping descents, serve as a reminder of the transformative power of the High Atlas landscape.

Day 7: Tachdirt– Tizi n'Likemt Pass (3600m) – Imlil – Marrakech

After breakfast in the morning we set off for the Likemt Pass (3600m) – a 3 – 4 hour climb – followed by a final exhilarating descent of 2 – 3 hours (1200m) back towards Imlil where our transport is ready to transfer us back to Marrakech.

With the morning sun casting its glow, your day begins with a hearty breakfast, fueling you for the adventure ahead. Your journey resumes as you embark on a climb towards the Likemt Pass, standing tall at an elevation of 3600 meters. The ascent, spanning 3 to 4 hours, is a testament to your determination and grit, offering a final challenge to conquer on this remarkable journey. The climb is both a physical feat and a mental triumph, leading you to the height of the pass where sweeping vistas await.

Having reached the summit, the thrill of accomplishment is matched by the anticipation of what lies ahead. A final exhilarating descent unfolds, a descent that carries you down a staggering 1200 meters, as you make your way back towards Imlil. The path retraces the steps of your journey, offering a unique perspective on the landscape you’ve come to know so well. Day 8: Fly back home

After having great experience with us in the high atlas, we will transfer you to the airport according to your flight time.
